RIVER SWEEP 2008
On Saturday, June 21, 2008, 8:00 am. The SVTC is seeking volunteers to help with a riverbank clean up at Duck Hollow, located along the Monongahela River at the terminus of Old Browns Hill Road. This area is a portion of the Steel Valley Trail. Each year, the Ohio the Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission organizes thousands of volunteers to clean up our riverbanks and in turn they are rewarded with a FREE commemorative T-shirt.

New this year is the Saturday, July 19th 5k Heritage Trail Walk. Proceeds will go to the YMCA of Greater Pittsburgh and Activate Pittsburgh initiatives to educate and fight against obesity and to Friends of the Riverfront for the continued stewardship and development of the Three Rivers Heritage Trail.
